Who are we?  About us

Wideo...
The Pentecostal Church belongs to the family of protestant churches. It is the largest grouping of such churches in Poland with over 35,000 Polish members. As the founding member of the Polish Evangelical Alliance, we also enjoy good working relationships with a range of other protestant church across denominations. We base our beliefs on the four principles of the reformation put forward by Martin Luther: Sola Scriptura – only the Holy Scriptures; Sola Christus – only Christ; Sola Gratia – only by grace; Sola fide – only by faith, which became the foundations of protestantism. The Pentecostal church in Poland is part of the world-wide pentecostal and charismatic movement, began at the start of the last century (1901), and later covered the whole world touching virtually every Christian Church - one example is perhaps the 'Renewal in the Holy Spirit' which, while in the Catholic Church, is part of the charismatic movement.  The Pentecostal church is a charismatic church which believes that God works today in a supernatural way just in biblical times. Spontaneity in prayer, passionate joy in singing worship and the supernatural workings of the Holy Spirit are characteristic of our meetings - as is sound, healthy, evangelical teaching based solely on the Word of God.

Our statement of faith is likewise built solely on the Bible, and the structure and working based on the biblical model of that first-century church. The Pentecostal church deeply respects the freedom of the individual, works with great respect for other Christian Churches, and seeks to build good brotherly relationships despite theological differences. Our relationship with Jesus must be at the centre - our battle is not to be between churches, but with the 'world-system' as the Bible teaches. In Poland, the Petecostal church is legally and officially recognised by the Sejm (Polish Parliament) as of 20 February 1997, article 41.

We are also part of the "Salt and Light Ministries" network of worldwide churches which includes churches from many denominations and independant churches.
